Personal protective equipment, or PPE, is not just for construction workers, doctors and nurses, or preventing COVID-19 transmission. There are dozens of different activities that every homeowner does around their house each week that pose significant safety hazards. You can protect yourself from those hazards by wearing PPE.
While the idea of wearing PPE around your own home may seem strange at first, why not give it a second thought? Doing so could save your life. Just think about some of the DIY home improvement projects that you’ve tackled in the past. Did you sustain any injuries, even minor ones? Is it possible that they could have been much worse? What PPE could you wear to protect you from these kinds of safety hazards? Before your next project, or even before routine tasks around your home, why not stop and think about the potential hazards involved, and then put on the appropriate PPE for the job?
